Scrolling threw Facebook I came across a gorgeous weanling filly, she was by a stallion I had fallen in love with two years before. So much so I breed our mare Scooter to him .
The sire had stacked up so many World Championships I had lost count. Not to mention, his foals were following in his footsteps.
Her dam was no slouch either, she came with her own set of credentials. I had to at least go see her.
Taking the horse trailer with us we were on our way.. I was so excited the eight hour trip seamed to take forever. Yes eight hours. When she stepped out of that stall tears flowed from my eyes. She reminded me of a mare from my past. Anyone that knew me, knew Patunia .she was the horse love of my life!. The likeness was uncanny . I had to own her!
Her name will be Georgia.
As we pulled out their driveway horse In tow, thoughts filled my mind of the World show. Worlds were only a little over a month away could she be ready for it ? Their was a fitter close by and we were already eight hours closer to the show grounds. making the trip to Worlds easier for her. The decision was made to leave her with the fitter. It was hard to leaving her eight hours away.
It was time for Scooter to foal, she was a awesome mare having seven Res. World Championships of her own. In my mind one of the prettiest Toby mares I ever seen. Sorrel and white with the biggest kind eyes and a personality to match. Scooter had one flaw she was n/h for HYPP.
Bob and I both preyed it would not be a problem. as luck would have it, she had a attack during birth.
I thought we were loosing her. As if to know she had a foal to raise, she pulled threw.
Yes a Filly, with a big white blaze and a spot on her left side, complete with her mothers big doe eyes. Strong and healthy. And already the apple of Bobs eye.
Her name will be Farrah
