No mater how old I get It will never get easier dealing with the loss of a horse. Be it one of my own or a boarders, they are all my family! Loving each one for his or her natural abilities.
This week we lost Hailey a mare belonging to Marcel and Kailey.
They did all they could for her. She had highs and lows for the past week and a half.
Pneumonia is what in the end, took her.
Hailey was a unique horse she had all kinds of athletic abilities. Although sometimes she had to be convinced to use them LOL She was a mare after all ! Hailey was shown western and hunt seat pleasure, taken over fences a showmanship machine. Winning the last class of her life, Barrels.
Kailey and Hailey made a GREAT TEAM doing well at anything they tried!
What ever the mare did she made the best of it.
Trail riding all over the farm during the week, was Marcels way to relax. Just to make sure Marcel still loved her. every once in a while she had to do something silly. No matter what she was due carrots or an apple.
She was loved.
.
My heart goes out to you and your family, Kailey, Marcel, Know that she is loping across the big cloud in the sky with no more pain.
As I sit here writing it brings to mind all the wonderful animals and their people that have been in my life.
Blessed with all the life lessons that were learned along the way. Some happy some sad!
We never know what the GOOD LORD has in store for us so live, love, each day like it is your last
.
WE ARE TRULY BLESSED !!!!
